Tech is
showing signs of growth.
India based HCL Infosystems plans to hire
2000 employees over the next few months. No easy feat to any technical
recruiter, but fantastic news to job seekers. The India tech job market has not slowed down in the same way as in
the US and Europe.
Demand
has barely inched back; with most companies using India based operations to backfill
headcount. Ratios are typically 3-1 (3 hires in
India for every 1 hire in the US ).
While merit increases and cost cutting is the norm these days for most US workers, India has had little need to par
back programs in these areas. Regardless, there is work to be had and the hiring bump
in
India may be a global sign of recovery. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
